Investing Big in Self-Determination
About the Project
Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) is the Australian Government’s primary economic arm supporting Indigenous economic development. Investing over $400 million annually and managing $2 billion in assets, IBA works with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to drive long-term economic prosperity and self-determination. Beyond financial support, IBA invests in people, places, and ideas to create intergenerational change.
About our Partnership
Working with the IBA CEO, Executive & Board over the course of a year, Elevate Impact designed the organisations Impact Framework which clearly documented the process through which IBA measures impact. Following this, Elevate Impact undertook the first year of qualitative and quantitive research and produced the inaugural Impact Report. Launched by the then Minister for Indigenous Australians, the Impact Report was hailed by the Productivity Commission as a benchmark for Indigenous Evaluation and helped IBA to secure an additional $150m in funding to support their activities.
