About the Project

The Monash Sustainable Development Institute (MSDI) is a leading research and education centre at Monash University, dedicated to tackling global sustainability challenges. Focused on achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), MSDI brings together expertise from across disciplines to drive innovation, policy, and real-world solutions. Collaborating with government, industry, and communities, the institute works on issues such as climate change, resource scarcity, social inequality, and public health—ensuring economic development, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion go hand in hand. 

About our Partnership

Following the devastation of the Black Summer bushfires (2019-20), Monash University launched Fire to Flourish—a $70 million, five-year collaborative program to advance community-led disaster recovery and long-term resilience.

Elevate Impact partnered with MSDI for over six months to develop a comprehensive Strategy and Impact Framework, ensuring the program maximises its positive impact and elevates the importance of its work.
